Murray Pfaff and friends radically customized a 59 Imperial

The original was in extremely good condition, but it's not that good looking. There is an enormous improvement in the headlight and grill area

very odd proportions, but fun to look at
and it's amazing to see from the bottom most diagram of where the cuts were made, and how the jigsaw puzzle of pieces came together to keep the body lines, just move the bumpers closer together

North Park annual Cops and Rodders car show

I've never seen this on the trailer, it sure makes it look small

The whole side of the park had restored Police cars... great display, and I once got to take photos of the place they restore them http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/07/stumbled-across-restoration-and-repair.html

I don't recall seeing the center head light before, it's oval shape... unusual
San Diego SWAT vehicle... made me realize San Diego has a swat team, I didn't know we did
1969 bus

Twisted Minds bike club, that's Mike in the black jacket
why do this to a vette? yes, it's an ugly 70's vette, but looks even worse as a 4x4

Both the black cars are Dodges

this is the first time I've seen this Shriners truck

It's a 4 dr... and I didn't realize that til I walked around it

these guys are good!

1966 Chrysler Imperial, just like the one "The Old Man" on Pawn Stars has made a well known sight

I've never noticed big plastic covertible top covers... they must be impossible to replace.
May 2010 Automobile magazine just did a story, Page 81, on "The Old Man" Richard Harrison's 66 Imperial. The leather interior convertible is a one of 514 made, and they all would need a bit of care to get back on the road, this one needed suspension work of course, the weight alone would take the spring out of the suspension, if not the years.

You won't see many '64-'66 Imperials in So cal for sale, the upcoming movie "the Green Hornet" needed 29 built

Seth Rogen (who is the lead in the movie The Green Hornet) unveiled one at the 2009 Comic-con http://www.accesshollywood.com/seth-rogen/comic-con-2009-seth-rogen-unveils-green-hornets-black-beauty_video_1138356 for the video, but a full gallery of photos are here: http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/comic-con-2009-the-green-hornets-black-beauty#6
The original was built by icon Dean Jefferies.

Dennis McCarthy is the picture car coordinator (just 6 years of doing this so far) in Hollywood that made the cars used during filming the last two The Fast and the Furious movies, which he had over a $7 million dollar budget on just Tokyo Drift http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/general/hdrp_0607_movie_car_builds/index.html

and now he's building the Green Hornet "Black Beauty" Imperials.
29 of them.

great interview with Dennis here: http://www.latinoreview.com/news/fast-furious-week-continues-interview-with-car-coordinator-dennis-mccarthy-new-poster-6189 which is the same as the one here, http://www.collider.com/entertainment/interviews/article.asp/aid/10961/tcid/1http://www.collider.com/entertainment/interviews/article.asp/aid/10961/tcid/1http://www.collider.com/entertainment/interviews/article.asp/aid/10961/tcid/1 but with a different writer claiming credit for the writing... odd.

The interesting kind of used car sales... sports and antique cars

Above: in the office, Below: the stuff for sale off to one side of the showroom floor

Below: Notice the movie in the lower left corner? It's Rendezvous

I love these shorty headers, beauty of the design

If you buy this Viper, let me know. I want to learn what sort of fun you are going to have with it! Also, some day you may sell it, and I might be ready to afford to buy it. (no, I'm not trading the R/T for it)
